Senator Monguno to Host Son’s Wedding Fatiḥa Saturday

The families of the Chief Whip of the 10th Senate, Senator Mohammed Tahir Monguno, have announced plans to host the wedding fatiḥa of his son, Mohammed Tahir Monguno, on Saturday.

The announcement was contained in a statement signed by Umaru Yakubu Kirawa, Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee, and made available to journalists in Maiduguri on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the families of Senator Monguno and Barrister Yunusa Mohammed Kukuri will formally unite their children, Mohammed Tahir Monguno and Asiya Yunusa, in an Islamic marriage ceremony scheduled for Saturday, 24 January 2026, at 2:00 pm, at Senator Monguno’s residence in Maiduguri, Borno State.

The statement said the wedding fatiḥa, which will be conducted In sha Allāh, will take place at the senator’s residence along Ibrahim Wadaima Road, Old GRA, behind the Nursing Home, Maiduguri, adding that family members, friends, associates and well-wishers have been invited to attend the ceremony.

It described the occasion as a moment of joy and thanksgiving, noting that the event marks the union of two prominent families and is expected to attract guests from within and outside Borno State, who will gather to offer prayers and goodwill messages to the couple.
