The Borno State APC E-Registration and Reconciliation Committee has called on party stakeholders and elected officials to speed up the ongoing digital membership registration to ensure a complete and verifiable database ahead of the approaching deadline.

Ambassador Baba Ahmad Jidda, the committee’s chairman, made the appeal in a statement on Friday, saying the success of the exercise is “pivotal to the party’s electoral preparedness and long-term unity.

”Since the committee’s inauguration on Monday, January 26, 2026, it has been working round the clock to streamline the registration process and ensure that every eligible member in the state is captured.

To encourage grassroots participation, Jidda said the committee would recognise and reward Local Government Areas (LGAs) that show “exceptional innovation and commitment in overcoming registration challenges.

”He urged local government chairmen to liaise with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) to facilitate National Identification Number (NIN) enrolment for members in rural and hard to reach areas, “ensuring that no willing supporter is disenfranchised by administrative bottlenecks.

”Jidda also tasked Senators, members of the House of Representatives, and state lawmakers to take full responsibility for the registration process in their constituencies, noting that active involvement from all stakeholders is essential.

“The vibrancy and sustainability of our party depend on embracing this digital transition. Special attention must be given to women and youths, who are the backbone of our future growth,” he said.

He added that the committee’s activities are guided by Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, who “has consistently advocated for transparency and inclusivity within the party’s ranks.”

Jidda expressed confidence that, with the active involvement of all stakeholders, the APC in Borno would emerge from the exercise with a stronger, more unified, and verifiable membership base.
