The Borno State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused Kashim Imam of attempting to hijack the party’s structures, sparking tensions within the opposition party.

Speaking at a press briefing in Maiduguri, State Chairman Umar Bolori warned that Imam’s unilateral actions could undermine the party’s internal processes and collective decision-making, threatening to take legal action if he fails to desist.

Bolori reiterated the ADC’s determination to unseat the ruling APC in Borno, emphasizing the need for a strong, united opposition.

“We are in Borno to take over the state from the APC, who have ruled for too long,” he declared, calling for unity among party stakeholders, loyalists, and supporters.

The ADC chairman reaffirmed the party’s commitment to transparency and collective leadership, stressing that all members must operate within the party’s established structures and guidelines.
