A cameraman with Channels Television, Kani Ben, has died from injuries he sustained in a road accident while covering an assignment in Bauchi State.

Ben was part of the media team reporting on the commissioning of projects by the North-East Development Commission (NEDC) when the crash occurred.

He was taken to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, where he later died.

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, said the cameraman’s death was a sad moment for the media community, noting that Ben died while carrying out his duties.

Sympathies have been extended to his family, colleagues, Channels Television and members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
